was in the room for the passing of my mother and my sister, both in hospice, I believe my mother went painlessly, but my sister (cancer,) was in immense pain, I called the needle in on both of them, sad, but both got relief

That’s sad man, sorry for your losses.

Give me the Bing Crosby death. Massive heart attack walking off the 18th green after a round of golf.

Very true.
Some time after my second MI, I got caught in a livid dream, a terrible nightmare. I knew I was dreaming, knew which way I was facing, and knew I had just fallen asleep. Like I said, I knew I was dreaming so I "chose" to wake up. However, I could not. pinched myself, screaming, beat on walls, everything. Surprised I didn't have another MI. If I had, I could just imagine people saying I died peacefully in my sleep. But then again, I was soaked in sweat so maybe they wouldn't have. idk.
But you are right, heart attacks are different. Had a friend had one after mine and he was telling the story of how he was explaining to the doc, he was having a 10 amount of pain (in complete sentences). I was thinking when I was in ten pain I couldn't say the name of Jesus, cause it was two syllables, could only say God.
But, like you said, we are all different.

I've worked countless CPRs as a FF/EMT. Cardiac events really can present in numerous ways

Disagree.
We smack something, go unconscious and then suffocate.
Not too bad.
Heart attack or brain aneurysm would be pretty quick too.

No thank you. Those are supposedly agonizingly painful before you lose consciousness.
I want to go to sleep like it's any other night and just not wake up. The worst part of going that way is that you don't get to say goodbye. I don't want my loved ones' last memory of me to be that of seeing me in pain.

Suffocation from a big booty Latina sitting on my face

20 or so years ago, I had a nuclear stress test in which something was injected that caused my heart rate to increase to some insanely fast rate.
I could barely draw a breath, and my chest HURT. Since that day, I’ve said that if a heart attack feels anything like that test, I want NOTHING to do with that hellacious experience.
I’ll be the first to admit that the way I expire is up to God, and not me, but I hope it’s not something painful.

I think everyone's greatest fear is that our final years before death will be a burden to those we care about..
or dying alone.
Both of the above fears will be eliminated if your last words are...
"Here hold my beer and watch this"

Not anymore. I escaped to the "Burbs" Denham / Walker area
You don’t want to get weeded out of the collection just because a book is at Scotlandville

Good evening my favorite angry librarian Lol
Haven't needed to do a loan or hold since I moved out here 6 years ago.
I have pretty impressive GoogleFu skills and can now find everything I need on the interwebs.
Especially now since virtually every book or periodical ever printed is available completely free in epub or PDF if your know where to look
Still need the library for old newspaper scans though

Feel like a little man was in your chest desperately attempting to pry your sternum apart with a crowbar?
