The one thing I know about it is it takes a while to get to the Chick-fil-A when you exit off of I-49North. Most of the time when the blue sign says there's a restaurant at an exit, it's less than a mile away. Not there.

Chicken from the gas station next to McDonald's on Airport Rd. It's the best.

Lea's Lunchroom, in Lecompte is good. And there's an authentic Mexican joint in the flea market parking lot on 165, south of town, that is kick arse.

Alexandria is tolerable for kids and families. But if you don't want to get married by the age of 22, it's best to get out after high school.

Billy's (Krotz Springs) and Quebedeaux's are owned by the same family. Quebedeaux's is owned by the daughter and son-in-law of the owner of Billy's.

Billy's has won awards for their boudin....Quebedeaux's is using the same recipe....it's a family secret apparently.

I haven't been in a good while. Maybe they're better now.

Fort Polk is Leesville, not Alexandria...
