Yeah personally I prefer the Outback to the Forester. If I lived somewhere I needed a car, I'd get an Outback.

Just sold the wife's '04 Mazda6. That car never gave us any trouble.
The CX5 is routinely rated as one of the best small crossovers - usually neck and neck with the CRV. Good mileage, handling, and extremely safe. Solid reliability and great styling.

Me too. They've all gone to that crossover look. They look more like a station wagon now. I like the taller, boxy look.

With SYNC? All you do is hit the button and say "connect phone." It doesn't get much simpler than that.

As a (mostly) used car salesman, my recommendations are as follows, in descending order:
1. Outback/Forester
2. RAV4/Highlander
3. CRV/Pilot
4. Equinox/Terrain
4Runners are overpriced. That is all.

This was the lowest end system you could get. Owner's manual never said to pair via voice command.

My mom has a Buick Enclave with a third row, so I assume the GMC Acadia and whatever the Chevy equivalent is called also have third row options

Agree. They're surprisingly sporty. Drove one up the PCH in CA and enjoyed it.

Jeep is a solid brand
I got the Sport SE package
Bought it for the wife and because we want to start having kids, but she's been using her company car so I have been driving it most of the time
I also see a lot of them in town

That's not really a "small" SUV though. They're basically the length of a Tahoe.

I've rented quite a few vehicles over the last couple years and I can say with certainty that Chrysler products are always the worst.

Wranglers are great because no one else makes anything like them, but Grand Cherokees are just coming around with their reputation the last few years. But the other Jeep offerings get abysmal reviews for the most part. Wouldn't stop me from buying a Wrangler though. One day...
