You obviously don’t know the symbolism of the pelican. The baby pelicans are there because the mother pelican feeds the baby pelicans from its own blood. There is a cut on the chest of the mother pelican. It is an ancient Christian symbol.

Hmmm. Some of these have changed since I drew them in 5th grade for a school project.
The best flags are out west and the South. Louisiana is below average. Always wished we had a better one.
