Even here in WA all I have to do is turn off the TV and they disappear. I don't ever see them out IRL. I don't live in King County though so I'm buffered from some of the worst of it.

Washington is just like Oregon. If you stay away from Seattle and Portland, they're both great states to live in.

Idaho is also getting the people fleeing Seattle and Chop. What's happened to Seattle is crazy -- 25 years ago that was the capital of computing and tech, and Seattle was one of our hottest cities. Now, one of its best areas is being held hostage by giant socialist weasels.
I'd argue that it was never the capital of tech but even in crazy arse Seattle you can drive 45 minutes and be in what many here would call 'real America'.

That's a good question, and once Joe Biden has to leave his basement, he's going to have some tough questions to answer.

I’m thinking somewhere in Idaho or Montana. Any suggestions?

Serious answer: The bigger towns (there aren't any real cities) have SJW's too. The small towns are either unfesible due to real estate and cost of living (ski resorts) or are agriculture/resource extraction dependent, in economic crisis with declining populations. And they don't like outsiders. I had a buddy that got transferred to a small town in Northern Arizona. They were non-Mormon in an overwhelmgly Mormon town. His wife didn't have any friends and nobody would play with his kids. They lasted less than a year.

Michael Shannon talked about the Big Red Dildo that runs through the middle of America, so anywhere in there you should be safe. I'm in Oklahoma, one of only two states that went entirely red in 2016 and we still have our fair share of cosmopolitan prog filth in OKC and Tulsa. I think any city or university town has them, even in deep red states, so I think the answer is to go rural wherever you go.

Ticonderoga, NY ain't shite like NYC, NY for example

I'm considering a job in Omaha right now, I thought NE would be a comfy red state but of course the city of Omaha and the surrounding areas are all blue

Speaking as a more liberal person that resides in a very conservative area, and posts regularly on this board full of conservatives, I can say that the extreme language comes from both sides.

I think the media drives a lot of perceptions that are nonsensical. I lived in Capitol Hill for 15 months. It was great, and I became close friends with people this board would consider SJW's.

Live anywhere you want. Most people are not going to bother you, nor do they care all that much about your politics.

Oh totally. But I’ve heard it from the right for years, so it’s not a new thing to me anymore. This larger representation of the loonies on the left is what’s so unbearable for me.

I was all aboard the women’s march/pride march/pro choice/equality bandwagon and still very much am. But the cancel culture... the hating anyone who has money.. the hating white people.. to cowering in their homes because of a virus.. it’s just too much for me.

And sadly, many folks who were not extreme before have become extreme about one of those above things.

Sincere question. what do you believe is more likely: the Democratic Party shifts closer back to center or goes even further progressive ?

I remember them both before they lost their soul. Seattle used to be a pretty cool place to be when I moved here in the 90’s.

Even here in Olympia, what was an awesome little town 15 years ago, has turned to s***t. Drugs and very liberal city council policies allowed it to happen.
