I've bought and sold guns on LA Sportsman and GunTrader with success... If you go to a shop it'll be a shite price because they have to make a profit too.

I've bought, sold, and traded there many times with no issues. It's all local people and you can find way better deals there than a gun shop or pawn shop.

This is where the guns are bought and sold...face to face...no hassle. Members with solid feedback in large numbers, collectors, regular guys, compulsive gun buying nuts, etc...
If you list in classifieds, price at market value, it usually sells same day. No registration necessary with private sales.

I just got a $560 quote for a trigger job and some night sights on my pistol...not sure a plastic gun is worth the $1500+ I’d have into it. Damn though, it could use a nice trigger.

Cabelas buys guns, I have gotten fair prices from them several years ago, but no idea how they are since being bought by Bass Pro.
