I can definitely tell you where not to go, Men's Warehouse by the mall. Had to get a suit for a wedding there, it took about three months and eight trips to the store to finally get it and then it was the wrong suit. That was the first time I've lost my temper in public in a long time and the first in front of my kid. They told me they didn't do refunds and i could get store credit and I responded that I would rather lose money hiring a lawyer to sue them just on principle. frick those people and frick that store.

There used to be this place downtown called Bates & Thigpen where I bought suits when I still lived in BR. It's an old shop near Bourdreaux & Thibodeauxs, and the owner was I think the grandson of the original owner.
Anyway, they always did a great job getting a nice suit and will tailor it and custom fit it for you as well. Real old school style and decently priced. I'd recommend checking it out if it's still open.

The best is Martinez. The best as it relates to regular stores is Carriages.

What do you mean by "nice"?
Nice looking and expensive, or nice looking and reasonable?
Most designer suits that you can buy at Macy's, etc. will look good if you have them tailored correctly. Find one that you can buy the coat and pants separately and have it tailored to fit.

Carriages or Perlis
Perlis bought Cohn Turner back in 12...
if they are as good as the original Cohn Turner they would be fine...
McLavy's is good as well...

McLavy's by far. Best quality suits and best service. Buy on item and Frank will remember you and your style forever.
