J.D. Powers results were released Wed and based upon almost 70,000 new vehicles owners and judged Performance, Drive, Execution, Visual and Layout of all brands per new vehicle purchasers. It was a survey of How much do I like or hate my new vehicle. APEAL! 2nd was BMW. Others in top 10 were Genesis, Audi, Volvo, Land Rover, Lincoln, Mercedes, Cadillac and the new Ram pickup.

Mitsubishi was the pits followed by a bottom up of Buick 2nd from bottom, Subaru 3rd worst, Mazda, Nissan, Jeep, Hyundai, Toyota, Chevy, Kia and Honda.

In the middle were brands like Lexus, Jag, Mini, Acura, VW, Ford and GMC.

So there you go. People love their new German cars and Spt. Utes. Lincoln, Caddy and Ram pickups are loved among the Americans. And the Japanese and Korean brands suck and are disliked along with Buick and Jeep.

I’ve been led to believe that Chevy always wins these.

The time to panic is when you do see one, in your driveway, with the keys in a member of your immediate family's possession.

I think this is a dark time for Japanese car styling. BMW, Audi, Cadillac, and Lincoln are much more creative.

That being said, Mazda is doing some good work. No one seems to notice though.

I would rather have a reliable vehicle over a creative one.

I personally love the 30+ combined years and ~400,000 + combined miles I’ve gotten out of my Toyotas with virtually zero maintenance.

Yeah. I've never met a person with a Tacoma that didn't like it.
I've met plenty of Cayenne owners who weren't happy.

Why do people still say this in every truck thread? I don’t have a Ram but I sure as hell see a lot of them out there and I never pass one broke down anywhere. Just don’t get the joke. Maybe 25 years ago, yea.

Yeah ok, I’ve had zero issues with my ‘14 Ram 1500 that has 160,000 miles. I’ve pulled boats, tractors and 4 wheelers all over the place.
