Porsche has led quality surveys for a long time.
Lots of good reasons for this, my understanding is that the warranty experience is pretty good also.

Well a major part of he rating was based upon how satisfied the customer is with the vehicle's day to day performance. I know that all the sudden Nissan sales are in the tank and they are laying off about 10% of their workers. And the sale of the 4 dr staple Toyota, Honda and Nissan as well as all the Hyundai, Kia's sedans are off.

I love reading people’s extremely antiquated opinions on brands in these threads

Yep.
Car brand quality changes over time, for better or worse.
Nissan is pretty crappy now, but not too many years ago, they were on par with Honda.
Jag was pretty terrible for years, but after Ford bought them they got very good. Now, even reading the Jag boards, complaints are pretty minor.

They may not like Toyota the most, but it’ll still be running in 25 years.

When ram was sent out on it's own the trucks got better.

The new Tacoma's have not kept up in interior design, quality of materials or comfort and the ride is nothing short of atrocious. There are newer, more updated options out there so Toyota has to upgrade and they likely will. These things run in cycles. Trucks have gone mainstream. People are now demanding more from trucks rather than basic A to Z transportation.

quote:Annnnnd these criteria mean very little to me from “new vehicle” owners.
based upon almost 70,000 new vehicles owners and judged Performance, Drive, Execution, Visual and Layout of all brands per new vehicle purchasers.
Let’s talk to folks who’ve put 4 years & over 100k miles on a specific vehicle.

They committed to making a better truck and it is paying off.
They're beating Chevrolet fairly regularly in the sales race.

The air bag suspension kills the competition. Best riding truck out there. Other than a raptor or zr2 with their upgraded suspensions.

I like that real wood interior on the higher trims.
I ain't letting go of my Ford 6.7 though.
Quietest truck I've ever owned on the highway.

I miss my raptor. Like riding on a marshmallow.

Who would ever admit they paid a premium price for a car they hate?
Porsche is a fully functional vehicle for transportational purposes though.

Yeah, you traded that for a Tacoma or something?
