Used is350 or ls460.

If you can stomach a vehicle with 30k on it...you can get a SMOKIN deal.

buy a 1yr old pre-owned vehicle is my best recommendation to get best value.

People still say this crap? You end up basically paying new car price for a car with miles and less warranty.
No thanks.

ETA: OP, you can get a loaded Camry SE V6 for $26k or less. Will have nav, moonroof, heated seats, etc. will get 31 mpg on the highway and have great resale, as well as being incredibly reliable. The SE package makes it look way less boring as well.

Yes, this is horrible advice depending on the model. Used cars are more scarce and the difference between price often isn't worth it versus a new car/truck. Cash for clunkers, the Japanese tsunami and recession causing people to hold onto vehicles longer (not to mention quality being pretty damn good across the board for a while now) has caused the used car supplymarket to shrink up.

Does it also make it "grounded to the ground?"

I'd check out the certified pre-owned vehicles at Brian Harris BMW.

Also check www.texasdirectauto.com here in Houston. I bought a 3 series and Tahoe, both with low miles, and got pretty good deals. Whatever the price listed on the site is, call in and talk to them and you can get it for at least $500 less. They have a lot of inventory turnover, so you can usually find what you are looking for if you check in and look occasionally.

How quick do you have to move with them? Seems like they are about the quick sale and little to no negotiation.

The new Impala was the highest rated mainstream sedan in Consumer Reports. I'd go with that or the Honda Accord Touring model if the Camry isn't to your liking.

We recently got an Accord and love it, but I liked the Camry we test drove. The Buick LaCrosse and the Nissan Maxima are great cars as well. The Camry, Avalon, Impala, and LaCrosse will be the quietest, most comfortable....the Accord and Maxima are louder and more sporty.

The only thing I don't like about our Accord is the road noise. The domestic cars and Toyotas are quieter. The new Impalas were not yet available when we were car shopping. The Malibu and Altima were nothing special.

I hate that I like them as much as I do. I'm too young for a Buick.

I'm hoping for something with a little edge to it.

A top-line Mazda 6 (2014).

Nonloaded Toyota Avalon.

Another decent suggestion (2014 model only). Gives a more entertaining drive than the Camry (Nytol on wheels).

Ecoboosts have had spotty reliability and they need premium gas if you want them to produce the rated hp/mileage.
