Saw a guy get thrown through the big plate glass window at Borden's in Lafayette. I think it was about 91 or 92.

I heard a guy get shot at Mako's on McKinley in Lafayette back in 95. One of the bouncers had beaten a guy down at the door, so he got pissed, went to his car, brought back a gun and shot the bouncer. I was about 150 feet away and heard it, but didn't see it.

My grandpa doesn’t like to draw attention to himself. He took us to a parade when we were kids and would pretty much just stand with his arms folded and catch anything that came directly to him.

A guy on a float was trying to give a mom with a baby a stuffed animal, so my grandpa decided to help reach it and give it to her. As he goes to grab it, a big fat black lady grabs a hold of it and my grandpa isn’t letting go.

All of a sudden, the crowd parted, and my reserved grandpa is wrestling with this woman for a stuffed animal, muttering obscenities the whole time.

He finally won the battle and I’ve never laughed so hard in my life.

Several years ago I was on St. Charles for the parades. These dudes from West Monroe and these Nola locals get into it because one of the dudes from Monroe yanked some beads out of a girls hand.
Next thing I know chairs are swinging, bottles are being thrown, etc.... People were running saying, "gun" but no shots were ever fired. Don't think the cops ever showed up but I know one of the West Monroe guys had his head split open and was bleeding pretty bad.

Best part was the altercation had mostly deescalated when little man went after the boomer.

My freshman year of college we were on bourbon lundigras night.

2 Cops are riding down the street on horses. This weird arse hippie looking cat starts petting the horse, cop tells him to stop, hippie says something about it’s a free country and he doesn’t control the animals blah blah blah. Cop says stop or I’m gonna arrest you, guy stops and horse takes one step then the hippie spits on the cops back. In one swift motion the cop grabs the guy by the hair essentially throws a the dudes face into his knee- instant KO and they just kept riding while that jackass was then unconscious laying face first in the vile that is bourbon.

Damn man, that was one hell of a day..

I don't recall ever seeing anything too bad. Saw two girls going at it. I am pretty sure it was over a guy because one of the girls kept yelling something like "go get your own dick!"..

Circa 1990 Houma East Side where the current East Side Wal Mart is. Black Cop on a horse. Horse starts acting up and the cop manages to get the horse into the grass on the side of the road. Horse continues to act up and the cop punches the horse right on the nose and drops it.

I’ve never seen that one before. Old baw was taunting him in the middle of the fight before knocking him out a 3rd time.
