+1 on Taste of the Wild.

I have had two dogs that seemed flat out allergic to corn.

Fwiw, the healthiest our dog has been is when we ran out of food, got lazy, and just fed her scraps for a month. We eat a generally meat and veggie diet, so she was getting meat trimmings with bits of veggies and the occasional smattering of rice.

I feed my 3 dogs Pro Plan, chicken and rice. They seemed to like it. Coats are nice. I tried the grain-free products and they barely would eat it.

30 years ago dogs did good on Purina so I'm sure a lot of this product differentiation is marketing.

Blue Buffalo. All of the ingredients are grade A (fit for human consumption), as opposed to byproducts and leftovers.

I wouldn't worry too much, especially if you make the change now.

He's on the pro plan sensitive skin and stomach, despite being fine with both. Had some left after I lost my border collie and the new guy likes it, so why change.

Old dog came to me eating it. Yay for amazon prime. I can just get the big bag delivered

Raw chicken necks.

$12/40lbs. It's very good for them.

For regular dry food mine get diamond lamb and rice. I've found it to be the best bang for buck dog food.

Just make sure the dog food is not made in China. And as someone once said on here, dry dog food was invented for convenience. Get a good brand of American made dog food in both wet & dry, and combine the 2 for your dog's meals. I find this works best.

Science Diet. Aunt is a vet and that's what she recommended.

Whichever food you choose, get an Amazon Prime membership and set up automatic delivery...saves a considerable amount of money and they drop it off at your door every month

Same.

Many of the higher end ones have good ingredients, so any are fine. Just read the ingredients--look for the first few to be real foods. Try to avoid byproducts and fillers.

I use Royal Canin and I mix a tablespoon of wet food in it (and microwave the bowl of food, I know I know) for mine.

Victor Yukon River Grain Free is what I just switched to. Has a 5 start rating on dog food adviser and was WAY less than Blue Buffalo at the same rating. I really have noticed a big difference in my lab's coat. Was feeding Diamond Naturals grain free before. My dog suddenly decided she didn't want to eat it anymore. It wasn't bad for the price, but the Victor is really impressing me so far.

Diamond natural from tractor supply. 40 pound bag for $30. It gets high rating on dogfoodadvisor. Best value I've found
