I haven't had too many bad concert experiences. I have seen some pretty bad opening acts though. The one that stands out to me is this band that opened for Cage the Elephant when they played at The Varsity around 2009/2010 after their first album came out and got No Rest for the Wicked on Borderlands.

Cage put on a baddass energetic show. Whoever their opening act was was maybe the worst performance I've ever seen. The music was godawful. The singer, I couldnt tell if he was singing or if he was going on some emo rant about his girlfriend dumping him. Like there was no melody or rhythm and he halfway sounded like he was crying. The whole crowd basically booed them so then the singer grabbed some decorational plants from the background and hurled them into the crowd but tripped doing it so he busted his arse. His bandmates had to carry him off stage cuz I guess he was too hammered.

Pretty hilarious in retrospect and sounds funny to describe but if you were there it was an assault on the ears and the eyes

I’m not a huge rap fan but ice cube was one of the top three concerts I’ve ever seen.

I can’t say I’ve ever seen a bad concert. Maybe some shite country band.

Most recent best was seeing Smashing Pumpkins last summer when they had their semi reunion of almost all the original band members(except D'arcy). They played mostly all of their older music from the 90s and played for 3 hours straight. It was amazing.

Another best was Metallica a couple years ago...bucket list item for my husband to see them live...soo glad I got to be there cause they did not disappoint.

Worst: Some country concert I got dragged to years ago at the Cardinals stadium(think it was Kenny Chesney and a couple other artists). Besides Garth Brooks (yes he puts on an amazing show) and a select few others...I hate most country. They had the retractable roof open and it just made the sound quality horrible in the stadium that unless you knew the songs artists were singing...you couldn't understand what they were singing. Kenny Chesney is alright...but even he sounded like warmed over shite in that venue.

Best - Iron Maiden in Houston two years ago (it's amazing how much energy those guys bring even into there 60s)

Worst - pretty much every rap concert I've been to sucked except for Denzel Curry

Best Garth anytime I saw him and rage against the machine at voodoo.

Worst George strait in Biloxi in early 2000s. He didn’t play many of his hits. He only played his new record. It was extremely boring.

Took my daughter to a 21 Pilots concert in NOLA a few years ago, even though I hardly knew any of their songs they put on a pretty good show.

Went to see Alanis in Memphis in late 90's, was pretty meh.

Going to see Bush Tuesday

Best: Billy Joel, Smoothie King Arena, 2017

Worst (by far): Bob Dylan, River Center Theater, 2016. He was horrible.

Honorable mention for best: any of the multiple times I’ve seen the Eagles, Paul McCartney or Elton John. The Bee Gees millennium show in Fort Lauderdale, 1999 was awesome. And The Rolling Stones show two weeks ago and ELO last year in Houston also make my top 5.

I bet that will be a good show. Gavin is still hot...even if he is bisexual. Only time I saw Bush was years ago...when they toured with No Doubt in 96.

Letting the Cables Sleep is one of my fave Bush songs. Have fun

Surprisingly better than expected: The Fray, Rob Thomas, Kelly Clarkson, Theory of a Deadman

Terrible (and I like their music): The Cars, Daughtry, ZZ Top

Best - Garth Brooks or Avett Brothers a few years back when they still did the Rail Road Revival Tour.

Worst - Third Eye Blind @ the House Of Blues. Entire band was completely fricked up on heroine or some heavy shite, sang shitty songs, left shortly after arriving.

Worst concert I ever saw was the Smashing Pumpkins in 2006 at Voodoo Fest. Only played songs off their recent album - no older stuff. Got boo’d off their encore.

Billy Corgan is an asshat.
