Worst, IMO, is Orlando and my second choice O'Hare is a very distant second
no actual list of "best" but I particularly like those where the rental car pickup lot is attached to the airport rather than having to take a bus off site

Depends. People would need to draw a distinction in experience between originating from an airport and simply connecting through an airport.
Then there's Newark that sucks at both

Why? Flying to there on Saturday. Do it once or twice a year, and I have never had a problem.

Agreed. That said I love midsized airports you know you can get to and through quickly that have nice weather…Charleston and Ft Myers, for example. More flights with connections but I’m fine with that.
Larger airports I like San Diego because it’s so close to downtown. Atlanta sucks. LaGuardia is decent with the renovation but getting there and through it sucks.

Erbody talks shite but Atlanta is fantastic. Atlanta is super easy to get in and out of. You can fly pretty much anywhere in the world non-stop. It is laid out in an orderly manner. Some (big) airports are like a maze. DFW is fricking retarded.

O’hare is the worst for international flights. Whoever designed that place where you have to leave the security checkpoint on the Domestic Terminal to get on the Tram then have to go back through the Security Checkpoint to get to the International Terminal is a freaking idiot.

Best: Detroit
Worst: Orlando, Charlotte, or Philly depending on the day

Worst is probably Atlanta or LaGuardia. I used to hate flying through both.
I’m in and out of Nashville a good bit and really like it. I also like Love Field in Dallas.

Portland, OR PDX is nice for a bigger airport. Lots of concession options, wide concourses, pleasant TSA and airline employees.
Charlotte CLT is my least favorite big airport. Crowded concourses, no people mover, E terminal is a level of hell.

Indianapolis is near perfect.

I always like flying through ATL when I went overseas. The airport is very easy to navigate and didn’t really take long to get from one terminal to the next.

This is actually what I had in mind re: the distinction. I don't like flying out of Atlanta, but I love connecting through Atlanta. Extremely easy and painless airport to navigate. It's basically the opposite of Charlotte.

forgot about PHL, good one
CLT gets a lot of grief but I flew into there last fall for the first time and didn't really have any problems - I did like the adjoining rental car lots

Haven't been to Tampa, but heard good things. Did not like Northern Kentucky and JFK. IAH has a funky smell to it

Charlotte is really only a problem when it comes to Terminal E. If you're traveling between major/near-major cities, you'll probably be fine and avoid it, but I'd estimate the walk from E to the other gates is close to a mile long. Add in the escalators, clueless people stopping in the middle of the concourse, bathroom trip and a 35 minute connection becomes pretty tight
ETA: And the delays, but that seems to be a US Air legacy feature. Philly has the same issue

ATL is easily my favorite.
CLT is my least favorite probably.
ORL sucks too but it’s not a major hub so whatever.
LGA>JFK
ORD I could take it or leave it.

Birmingham needs to be updated as well

I feel like Atlanta and DFW are opposites
Atlanta is a good all arounder, albeit less convenient for locals than some because it's built to be a centralized, easy to navigate place for everyone (and facilitate connections).
DFW is a disaster for connections - it's great if you're local and getting dropped off by family or a taxi though since it's so fragmented

It really is.
I hate Denver - although went through it last week and looks like construction has changed it for the better for now.
