Are conditions in the Gulf favorable for Rapid Intensification? If so, the, it will rapidly intensify and continue to curve towards Galveston Bay and the Tx-La state line.
After the last few years anyone who claims to have a good handle on the "Ifs/Whens" of RI for hurricanes in the Gulf is either lying or overconfident.
There's a window for strengthening on approach to landfall that had been forecast for a while now. The conditions are ther for a strengthening storm into a US landfall.

Now, if you want to redirect this energy toward the 75mph Cat. 3 Major Hurricane Idalia making landfall last year in the Big Bend of Florida I'd consider throwing my support behind you.
I have no idea about what the official stats were on Idalia but I can confirm there was a lot of damage. We responded to Madison FL and the numbers of trees down and home damage was really bad.
It was a much different type of damage than what we have seen in LA. LA is more open and doesnt have as many trees as the big bend has. Madison was just a huge jumbled mess of trees and debris all tied up with powerlines.
The structure damage was not as bad as we had seen in LA but with all the power outages we had plenty of people to feed. Florida has strong building codes but it seemed a lot of the structures in Madison were trailers and did not stand up to the winds. I believe that area had not had a significant storm in many years so the structures were substandard to todays codes (they had not been damaged in prior storms and rebuilt to current, stricter standards).

Satelite lops play with my head but sure looks like the center of Beryl wants to try and get to all that convection in the Gulf. Like it's trying to bring the center north

What’s our latest, Roboto? If I may speak freely, I’m getting married July 14th up in Ruston. My fiancé’s parents are living in Corpus Christi and driving out of there around Friday to head to Louisiana late next week. I live in south Louisiana. Just seems like we are all gonna be affected by this thing one way or another.

HWRF - 90 knots into Port Aransas / Corpus Christi

I live in Corpus Christi but am on vacation in Colorado right now. I’m not slated to fly back until Tuesday evening. That’s looking like a big question mark at this point.

This storm although forecasted to move quite a bit quicker is giving off some Hurricane Sally vibes. Some models showing it intensifying steadily and fairly rapidly making a run at a strong Cat 2/borderline major while slowing down in forward speed just before making landfall in Texas very similarly to Sally in Sept 2020.
