I’ve lived in north LA all my life and I can’t think of a single storm that popped this many tornado warnings in the outer bands when it got to us. Rita was constant wind and rain causing some damage, but this fricker is spitting them out like crazy.

Live report from Bethany, LA on HWY 79 at the LA/TX state line. Just west of Shreveport as of 5 minutes ago.

Hwy 79 is closed. State Line rd. is closed. Severe damage with roofs torn off houses and downed trees.

This was the tornado that was around Keatchi, LA earlier. Headed toward Waskom, TX now.

Can anyone look and see if there’s a debris signature on the one by Saline, LA? Wife and son are there now.

I don't think so, but it is hard to tell without the KPOE radar.

ETA: But any of these storms today are capable.

That one is right on top of the radar, but it doesn't look as strong of a circulation as others. Just definitely be in a safe space when one of these storms rolls through today, though

White Oak Bayou has crested and has receded about 6 feet in the past hour or so. That was close, it was about three feet from topping out and flooding my neighborhood. Hope all of y’all stayed dry too.
