It’s been a unique start so far. This has to be the heaviest rain I’ve experienced with absolutely no thunder or lightning.
That part reminds me of Harvey

North Ft Bend County and having some pretty good gusts. A few power flashes. My weather station got knocked offline but is still there. Last reading I had was 45 MPH gust about 30 minutes ago.

For me, there was a lot of thunder and lightning around 10 PM to 1 AM for Harvey. I was asleep after that, and then after 6 AM or so, it was a relatively milder rain that just didn’t stop for hours.

Thunder and lightning just got to SW Houston. Though it hasn’t been nearly as much lightning as I’d normally expect.

That’s happening, but I think I also remember some multi colored lighting during Ike.

Only i good thing I can say least Beryl held off long enough before the strengthing because if not this would have been close to a major cane if not one in terms of winds.

My app is showing a 3 hour precip ttl of 5.1" in Bellaire. Is that area and the loop an area that had issues w low spots on the highways during Harvey?

Brays Bayou was the trouble spot. They’ve spent billions since Harvey improving it. We’ll see what happens.
