Just got to Houston. Might be making an afternoon trip to the coast to watch it roll in. Maybe get some good photos

Yeah inner city of Houston should be able to support the burbs of Fort Bend who will be losing power.

grocery stores were not crowded this morning. Plenty of food, water and ice

In Cypress and just went to HEB to just pick up a few things. It was busy, but not ridiculous. Kind of like Sunday evening at 5pm instead of Sunday morning. HEB has gotten much better at planning for these events. I head someone say one was almost out of water yesterday, but they were getting a delivery today. I'm sure they started preparing as soon as they knew the storm was coming towards Texas. They just had to figure out which direction to send their trucks.

Had to goto Home Depot to finish up an unrelated landscaping project and it wasn’t busy at all in the woodlands.

Saw one of my neighbors outside and he didn’t even know there was a storm coming

If you’ve kept an eye you’ve seen the cone be a little less west each update. If I see that on 80% of updates I’m for sure going to expect the worst, weather people be damned.

Why not be as prepared as possible? Am I the one missing something here?

Same here on prep.....
and yes, if you use your eyes, and your brain, you can see that Beryl will be a Galveston/Houston landfall....I expect the weather idiots and all their spaghetti garbage models to be very off to the west...as they have been for over a week.
