First band coming through Pearland now. Pretty good rain and some limbs swaying but that’s about it.

Why not be as prepared as possible? Am I the one missing something here?

We've been prepped for a week. I looked at it as even if it doesn't come here we'll already be stocked up for one in August or September. Been gassed up with outdoor stuff picked up since Friday. Wife and the dog already in Baton Rouge. All I have left is to fill up the ice chest once this band move through and it's underwear and beer time for the next 36 hours.

Can’t speak to her, but what’s there to prepare?

It’s not like Houston is gonna be desolate and out of power for a week from this

If you normally flood, you’ll likely flood. If you don’t, you won’t.

Storm will be in Ark by Tuesday, so no chance of a Harvey/Allison setup again

If you’re a panicker, panic. If you’re a realist, live your life

Last night was particularly bad…every manager they had was out directing traffic in the lot outside near the curbside pickup.

I avoid that place like the plague… think I only have gone there once and it was during ice outrage if I remember right. They were one of the first to have power back on.

I have to run to Costco for baby formula. FML. Apparently when I asked 2 days ago if there was anything we just had to have in case SHTF, the most absolutely fricking essential item just slipped her mind.

You're gonna catch hell trying to keep those floaties on if you start lubing up.

As long as current forecast holds and the eye of the storm doesn’t knock out power throughout Houston, nothing to do except for flooding.

If it keeps moving quickly then it should be fine
