Wow-

What is even worse in my opinion is that we've gotten to the point that this slur is now considered so offensive/hateful that reporters refuse to reference/identify it (in any manner) for fear of being canceled themselves.

Much like Lord Voldemort in the Harry Potter series. The name that can't be spoken.

reading a song lyric

Did the song writer get fired for writing this lyric?

If a word is not to be used, it shouldn't be used by anyone. Everyone should be treated equally in this respect. For example, if a black kid at school uses a certain word considered as a racial slur, they should be treated the same way as if that word came out of the mouth of a white kid. That doesn't happen.

He’s from Monroe. He lived in New Orleans before going to barstool.

Take the L and move on. Apologize if you believe you did something wrong, but don't grovel.

I hope you never criticized an athlete, coach, politician, chef, etc then.

Criticizing someones performance is not the same as criticizing someones qualifications with an opinion of "I can do better than that".

Sure...I can go to a Michelin 4 star restaurant and criticize something the chef makes. It's another thing to think he's a no talent loser and that I can do better without any qualifications or training myself outside of a buddy who likes my armadillo eggs.

Barstool Sports is trash

Sports Wars, Black & White Sports, and Clickbait Sports are where it’s at

What do you think happens to Ben mintz in 6months without barstool lol.

You are delusional if you think he is this insanely popular figure without big cat making fun of him

His own show, Mixin it up with Mintz on 100.7. He was a frequent guest on Jimmy Ott and Hanny's show in BR as well as a few others but he did have his own show for quite a few years.

I figured a mouthy dude from Boston who has basically done a live feed of his life for the last 15 years had something out therr.

He's probably one of a few that wouldn't necessarily warrant legit discrimination considerations given his role. Not to say the double standard is right, but it exists. He would be better getting a grunt content creator. A minority one would make it a spicy debate.

No clue...not sure what he is interested in doing. Ive said that quite a few times but he does have options. Just depends on what he wants to do.

Never said or insinuated that to be the case. Only that he is popular and that popularity is valuable, opens doors and creates opportunities.

shite, he may want to sell cars for all I know but with his experience and footprint he'll have opportunities to remain behind a mic if he wants. It's delusional to think he won't.

Dude, 117K twitter followers isn't that impressive in the social media world and brands aren't jumping over themselves to pay for a sponsored post with that low number of engagement.

So whitey can’t sing a rap song verbatim but a black person can… got it!

It is funny because of years of coasting at barstool and putting out the bare minimum content he got fired for actually working.

He should've said "I did nothing wrong, it was a song lyrics so it was a quote. If you have a problem with it, talk to the writer of the song."

He was hired because he sucked at his job and it made for good content. Everything he does gets ridiculed on the other shows because it’s funny to make him the joke. fricking up routine tasks was basically his only role
