Not the way you want a law enforcement officer to respond(emotional overreaction) but as a person I absolutely understand his reaction and the bitch deserved it. Who the frick does she think she is slapping someone in the face when she is clearly in the wrong? 
See this too much with women. They think they are protected from an asswhoopin by a man simply because they are women. They wanted to be treated as equals, well, when one man slaps another in the face an arse whoopin ensues at a near 100% rate. There are a few famous videos online of women going off on dudes thinking there wont be repercussions and then...BOOM-shakalaka.

I am okay with this. She was repeatedly trying to smack or scratch the officer. It’s hard enough to walk up steep stadium stairs carrying a writhing drunk, and she could have caused them all to fall by continuing to struggle.
In the video she is clearly going right for the officer’s face. What’s he supposed to do, let her scratch his eyes out?

I done a lot of defending the cop on this board and the MSB but I will confess I'd of liked it if he could've showed more self control. I don't blame him for hitting her and hope he isn't severely punished but it is true if he used a closed fist he could've caused serious damage to her where the crime didn't match the punishment. But that is the risk she took by getting publicly intoxicated and hitting a cop. So don't do that.

Cuff her hands behind her back and lead her out. Drag her out if necessary. Seems like it'd be easier to do than carrying her out on their shoulders.

Watch again. It looks like they were trying to cuff her and she was resisting. They probably decided to carry her out because the struggle was putting others in the crowd in danger of getting hurt or pushed down the steps.

What I like is all of the posters saying that the 'LEO should do this' or 'the LEO should do that'.
What about her? What should/could SHE have done to avoid this outcome? Not drink to this extent? Drink at home? NOT resist arrest? Not swing at LEO when the fun times areover and it is time to be gone? Her friends, companions...what should THEY have done? Get her out of there? NONE of this would have happened had SHE shown some responsibility...OR if her 'friends' had intervened while tailgating or when her behavior became OOC.
The LEO is in a no-win. IF she was struggling and they take the steps necessary in front of everyone then they go too far. They go THIS route and it turns out poorly.
