A professional should be able to gauge the situation and know her fly seats were causing and had no ability to cause him harm. The other officer who was catching her elbows didn't think it was necessary to cold cock her. He was mad, he lost his temper and he assaulted her for swatting at him.
He will lose his job and she will apologize and be banned from the arena. Both sides lose.

I have no problem with the result. However, the fact that the officer had such lack of understanding that he would smack a intoxicated, defenseless, drunk girl in front of thousands of people/ dozens of cameras makes you wonder of the intelligence of some of our “finest.” No doubt that reaction will follow him and will be unpleasant.

It’s easy to criticize the officers actions when we are sitting here behind a phone or a keyboard rather than actually being a cop in that situation.

If you've ever been in any position of authority and wanted to smack someone for being stupid but knew it was a bad idea to give in to that urge then yeah, it's really easy to criticize. The drink chick deserved it but the cop should have known better.
