I'd guess your wife actually does want kids

My wife actually is the one who gets upset when people keep saying shite, which in turn gets me pissed off. She's very career focused and not interested in postponing her goals to raise an expensive poop-machine.

In 30s. Getting married in next few months. Fiancee just turned 29. I'm already getting the eye, as in "It's happening soon, get ready".

She wants 1. I want none.

There is an immense freedom in being able to pick up and leave where you're at. Chase a new career. Live overseas.

My wife and I didn't want kids. We planned on not having them. We had a slip up and now have two kids. I couldn't imagine not having children now.
Really, having kids turned out to be the best things for us.

Prior, we were selfish. We were irresponsible. We were Todd and Margo from A Christmas Vacation. We had no fulfillment or purpose. We worked hard and could only spend so much on a new restaurant, bottle of liquor, drinks at a new bar, trips, etc.

We weren't a an unhappy couple, but we weren't a complete couple. We just had no purpose.

If you don't want kids, then by all means, don't have them. This world has enough shitty parents out there. But I think it is something you should both take some time to just ponder by yourself and then bounce the ideas off together.

Once you have kids, family will then criticize what you do with them.

"Why don't you let him eat this candy? He can eat it, watch..."
"He doesn't need to nap right now... "
"Why is he crying, what did you do to him..."
"Stop being so over-protective..."

It won't stop. If this bothers you this much now, it'll get worse if you decide to have kids.

I got your dicktionary, hillbilly. I fixed the AC typo quicker than you can cum on a glossy print of Elles wedding picture. But you still beat me.

I thought the same when I was posting my first response.

Why settle with one woman? That just limits your freedom that much more.

To stop the 'when are you getting married' questions.

You can't win every battle.

We were bored. This is difficult to describe, but we felt incredibly stagnant after a certain point. The "slip-up/pregnancy" was the best thing that happened to us.

you get married to have kids you pussy whipped bitch. No kids, no reason to get married. Your entire family is laughing at you for being dupped into paying your wife alimony after you find out she is getting spit-roasted by two bulls from the gym.

I hear this a lot. I said it is as well. Truth be told, it hardly ever happens. Maybe 1/100 times someone actually does this.

And if you truly wanted to do those things, kids wouldn’t stop you.

I have friends that have lived and traveled all over the world. They have 2 kids under 5. They didn’t let kids stop them from their dreams.
