I feel a little trashy when I lounge around in boxers and a cutoff. You have kids and stroll around naked ? That’s.. odd

Naturally about 4 or 5. But nail in the coffin was when my 6 yr old daughter told everyone in the house that her 9 yr old brother had a "weird lookin pecker" after walking in on him taking a bath. That was it for us.

I feel like a daughter shouldn’t see a dad naked, or a son see a mom naked. Mostly so you don’t have to explain why they’re different at such a young age

Come on man. I'm not talking about spending an entire day around the house naked with the kids.

A toddler is very likely to see you doing things like getting dressed or walking out of the bathroom after a shower. Life happens. It's obviously no big deal when they're really young.

The responses here really show the Victorian influence on Americans. I agree that a dad being naked in front of is daughter is weird, but I have three sons with the oldest being 5 and they see me naked getting dressed every morning. I think nothing of it nor do they. I see them naked every evening at bath time. They love running into my room after they wake up during the week to tell me hi and dont care at all if I have clothes on. They've seen me like this since they were born so dont think much of it.

Think of how many people in one or two room houses across the world have kids who not only see their parents naked but also see them have sex.

My 3 year old girl doesn’t see anything less than a t-shirt and boxers. She does try to barge in the bathroom to tell me “good job, you did it” for using the toilet though. Had to start locking the door.

I’m sure she see her mom naked which i think is fine.

The moment they fall out of the mother's vagina.

The idea of being naked around your kids is weird as hell to me, no matter the age.

My 3 year old ran downstairs and bare arse farted on me.

I had to get her back.

Serious question OP: are you European?

Your response will help me determine how disturbed I should be.

When your kid feels weird they’ll let you know.

I have two kids and it has never once occurred to me to take a bath or be naked with either of them at any age.

My wife tells me it’s not a big deal and she doesn’t know/ won’t remember, but I make sure my five month old daughter doesn’t see me naked getting out of the shower.

Just feels like the proper thing to do.

I mean, it’s one thing to be wagging your dick around your kids, which is obviously wrong and weird. But nudity happens. You get barged in on in the bathroom, doors get opened...it’s just not a big deal at all.

We shouldn’t be ashamed of our bodies. It’s when the nudity becomes sexual that it’s an issue.

My wife is right she won’t remember but I just feel better not doing it

But I do tell her in baby talk voice that she used to live in these balls.

Secretly hoping her first word is “balls”

We took showers with my sons until they were maybe 3. I've never taken a bath or shower with my daughter, not sure if my wife has. All 3 still take a bath together occasionally, moreso the 2 younger ones. My oldest is 6 and he generally prefers the privacy of showering alone at this point. They will naturally move towards expecting and respecting privacy.

My younger son and daughter also stroll through the bathroom while either me or my wife showers like it's main street. I shoo them away, but what are you gonna do? Not a big deal.
