I think... I mean, that sounds gay. I just want you to know this is, like, the first conversation of, like, three conversations that leads to you being gay. Like, there's this, and then in a year it's like, "Oh, you know, I'm kinda gonna want to get back out there, but I think I like guys," and then there's the big, "Oh, I'm... I'm... I'm a gay guy now."

As a single woman over 50, I can say the same about men. People my age have too much baggage and I have no patience to deal with them. I agree that it is nice not having worry about being in a relationship and now I can do what I want without having to answer to anyone. Maybe one day I will start to feel lonely but I am definitely not even close to that point yet.

I heard a comedian say about adult internet dating: All profile pics should be naked, standing on a scale, and holding up a checkbook.
That’s well thought out.

A certified net worth financial statement would be nice.

Some truisms I’ve heard over the years-

“Cheaper to keep her”

“It takes me longer to get behind and I’m quicker to catch up”

“All cats are grey in the dark”

Chasing tail for decades has to be the emptiest and, eventually, most boring pursuit I can think of. I genuinely feel sorry for those of you who have given up on finding a quality woman.

I did it until I was 35. It was fun. It was even more fun after college.

Are you seriously implying that because I met my wife in college I'm insisting everyone should be able to?

The comments are heavily biased. If you miss that window, it gets real difficult and increases in difficulty every year.

Like someone else said, by 26 or so, you're likely to have to entertain being a stepfather to a kid from a failed relationship (typically with lots of emotional scars or a dad you sometimes will have to deal with). If you're not willing to do that, your dating pool shrinks even further.

Maybe in Louisiana. Most everyone I know got married after 26. The south is pretty notorious for young marriage/children out of wedlock, so that makes sense. Also responsible for a shite ton of divorces too.

Social media has made women think they are more attractive than they really are.

Gloria Steinem is largely responsible for this.

This is the way it was meant to be:

Depends on the baggage. If someone is willing and shows they'll work on their flaws that's one thing (assuming it's a problem that can be solved in a reasonable manner). If it's someone who carries the "accept me as I am or else" attitude then I understand.

The whole "if you can't accept me at my worst you don't deserve me at my best" attitude is a real thing. I blame online dating for the absolute shite show of a dating world. It turns people into human shoppers with almost no regard for anything outside of physical stats.

You should try crossdressers.

Exactly correct.

I mean, that's exactly what online dating is. Absolutely no longterm mindset, even the "longterm mindset" people still consider money/looks. Online dating fails to replicate the real world interactive side and it jades your view of the person before you even meet. And yes I understand money/income/job/education matters along with longterm prospects.

I don't think crossdressers charge. Based on the handbags, I think most of them have good jobs... you know, since they're actually men.

Not everyone finds the love of their life in college. People all have different timelines. Glad to hear you're happy with how things have gone for you tho.
