What trimmer do yall use to get the closest to skin and cleanest neck/cheek lines?

Currently, I use just some regular clippers to trim the length of my beard, and regular straight razor for the lines, but I'm looking for a trimmer that would get almost as close as a razor and provide clean lines for the neck and cheek lines.

Recommendations from personal experience?

I've got an old corded Wahl haircut clipper set. Use a guard for the trimming, take it off to line up the neck, then shave with a Mach 3 old razor. No clippers get it close enough, but I do have a Braun electric razor I sometimes use on my neck and cheeks if I don't feel like using the bladed razor.

Just bought a One Blade for travel since I cant travel with Safety Razors in my carry on. Have only used it once so far. It's decent in a pinch/travel, but wouldn't trade it for my regular wahl clippers and a blade at home.

This righ here.

I use a 30+ year old 2-blade Gillette Sensor Excel razor to get my lines straight.

I have had a beard for my entire adult life. I laugh at idiots that think they need all this high dollar fancy BS.

I'm convinced that the only way to line up your beard correctly without fricking up half the time is to get somebody else to do it. But I continue to try anyway.

Talk to your barber about the trimmer they use and order one off amazon or go to local beauty supply and get one.

An electric clipper slides an oscillating piece of metal over a stationary piece of metal. No pair of clippers can cut closer than the thickness of that bottom, stationary piece of metal. If you want to get closer than stubble length, you need a cutting edge with nothing between it and your skin, which can't be accomplished with clippers.

Look for a T blade trimmer if you want to get hooked up clean.

I feel it is my duty to point out that if you have a beard and you are cutting straight lines at your cheeks and neck, you look like an idiot

full natural or shave it off

That's the dumbest shite I've ever heard. You want me to let my beard to connect all the way down to my chest hair so I look homeless?

Look into BaByliss brand trimmers. We have a set and they are terrific.

Or have random hairs up to the top of my cheekbones?

I am a hairy man. If I let my beard go without shaping the edges I'd look like wolfman.

Thanks for letting us know that you’ve never been able to grow a beard

I love my One Blade for shaving my neck and cleaning up my lines. Can’t beat it for $40, and I just have my barber clean up the lines when I get my haircut. Now I need to figure out what I’m going to do with all my leftover Mach5 blades that I’ll never use again

Ask a reputable dog groomer, preferably one with schnauzers as clients.

Any good quality trimmer is good for the neck line. But no trimmer will compete with the crisp lines that a straight blade razor gives on the side of your face. I straight razor mine between haircuts and the barbers at my barber shop always compliment it.

Beware men, your wife might be like Amy Earnhardt. I think Dale Jr definitely hit the lotto with marrying Amy.
