A neighbor in my subdivision has a mini goldendoodle.

He rides a bike around the neighborhood while the dog is on a lead 1-2x a day to wear it out. He said if he doesn't the dog is a maniac indoors.

They are pretty high energy be sure you have the time.

Beagles are the best. They're friendly, loyal, dopey, great with kids. Nothing is cuter than beagle puppies, either.

We got a female beagle last year when our lab died. She is pretty awesome. They have personality unlike some working dogs. My family talked me into a beagle (we've always had labs) and I am surprised by how much I love that dog. She's awesome.

How big do the minis get.

I’m looking for a medium sized dog that won’t shed that has lab/ retriever temperament to be indoors with small children under 5

Love my beagle. Amazing with my 3 year old. They can run off, but any dog can.

They are food motivated so bribing and training is actually easy.

One downside: Beagles are one of the higher risk breeds for cancer.

YouGet a Beagledore. Ours is mixed beagle/black lab. Solid black except a white patch under his chin, a small patch on his chest and on the tips of a couple of toes. Smart dog and very loving. Barks some, but not too bad

I had a beagle I loved dearly, but she was very difficult as an inside dog. She howled, tore up stuff when she got pissed, and ran away from every chance she got. They are FAST and you won’t catch them. She always came back, but she always ran. I’m know nothing about a golden doodle, but my golden retriever is the best dog I’ve ever owned

My best friend had three pure bred beagles, one after the other. They ate furniture. They (from different breeders) had some pretty horrible health problems and somehow she managed to get three of the dumbest dogs on earth.

A Neighbor has three at one time, three who've lived together their whole existence. They got out, here in the boondocks. They must have split up because they came back, individually ten days, fifteen days and twenty two days later. I really thought they were a pack, and they were, until they weren't.

We got our beagle two years ago and it's the best choice we ever made. He only really barks when he thinks he needs to defend his yard. Most loyal and loving dog you'll ever own. Their temperament is unmatched.

Agreed. Designer dogs are the worst. $2k+ for a faux breed that’s got major health issues down the road.
