If you loved the beach and mountains equally and you were retired with tons of money and you could only choose one to live in, which one?

I gotta go mountain. A mountain town like Estes Park, Colorado. No matter where you lived in town you would see mountains everywhere.

The beach town you wouldn’t see the beach ever at all unless you got on the road that went right next to it. You wouldn’t even see the ocean unless you got real close.

The mountain air is genuinely refreshing. The beach town has salt in the air that even fricks up your car’s paint job.

The weather in the mountain town and the changing aspen is wonderful.
Granted, winters can get somewhat brutal depending what mountain town you’re in.
Most winters in Estes are mild.

The beach town like in Miami is the fricking same every single fricking day of the year.
Boring.

Other than going to the beach itself and seeing chicks in bikinis the mountain town wins in every category.

Beach = hurricanes. Mountains = fire.
Am I being too cynical? Probably.

Beach is great for both recreation and relaxing, but isn't exactly a year around thing. Mountains are highly recreational but can also be a pain in the arse for relaxation.

Mountains.

I lived in a beach town for a couple of years.

You may be surprised at how seldom many of the local residents go to the beach.

There are houses on the beach so you can look at it all the time

Miami is a beach city and sucks

My official answer is both. Mountains during the summer and beach during the winter

I lived in Estes Park. Go beach. Mountain towns in Colorado are lonely in the winter and the winters in the mountains last a long time.
