I do think, if it were to continue, it would be a good idea that it changed locations. Could somewhere like Olympia Stadium be converted to host something like this? I know it COULD if they needed to, but I am talking about within reason.

Or he’s making it. The general public doesn’t want cerebral, complex lyrics. They want a catchy tune,‘relatable topics and accessible language.

Which is fine. Just because something is simple doesn’t mean it isn’t good. If it speaks to people then it has value.

Praise the Lord.

Essence >>> Bayou Country

Wish we had Essence here in ORL. It's expensive heading to NOLA.

Shaky Knees in ATL is always on point and an easy drive.

Seems the mildly nasty odor of "bro country" has grown into toxic fumes. That style of music is on the landing side of the shark jump much like hair metal was in 1991.

Parody is simple baw. Especially one with such basic lyrics. I’ve done one about Tarsha at the Council of Aging to the tune of Marie Laveau, and one about Gravy to the Tune of Davy Crocket. Those are fun

I'm just ready for Bro-Country to die a slow, horrible death. Every week it seems like a new bro is putting out tractor rap or touchy feely sensitive boy band music. I'm ready for a repeat of the 70-80s where music was made for men.

Makes you wonder if Bro Country is even a fad. I thought it was and it has been prevalent for well over a decade now. Makes you wonder if it’s here to stay.

I can write a new country song in about 30 mins or less.
Something like this.

F TulaneLSU, Fr33 is definitely the most talented/interesting poster to the OT. His takes are hot and his generic country lyricism is off the rails. srs.

By far my favorite poster.

Don’t know which one is worse. It’s pick your poison to be honest. Would you rather be surrounded by Livingston parish or surrounded by possible crime and people that don’t tip

Did their tax incentives go away? I always thought this was partially subsidized by tax credits etc.

Doesn’t look like it. Seems more that moving to New Orleans and shortening it screwed things up

One more thing New Orleans ruined

Nothing says Superfest like a sub 10,000 capacity venue with bench seats and gravel parking lots!

Someone would have to be a absolutely monumental idiot to propose this. Change the name to Subparfest and have a line up like

Parish-County Line
Randall Travis
Alan Jeffson
The Dixie Chunks
Brad Herringbone

And it’s all produced by Scott Ennis

Pretty sure LSU didn't want them on their brand new field.

Did it really do more damage than a football game?

I mean the whole field is torn up at the moment but hopefully it returns. It was a good economic engine

Still blows my mind that City Park doesn't do a spring festival on the Voodoo Fest grounds - it's a great multi-stage venue for big acts.

you should really consider being a song writer on the side. you could make a killing.

it is a talent that seems so easy for you- not many can cone up with decent lyrics if they spent all day on it
