While I am not a big country music fan. Before Superfest memorial day weekend was one of.. if not the slowest weekend for hotels, etc in Baton Rouge. There was a reason to visit Baton Rouge for memorial day (no beaches, nothing going on, etc) and Kip Holden played a big part in putting together an event that would help those businesses.

It also generates more tax dollars for the city. SWB is an idiot for not working to keep this or something similar to it (After awhile all of the performers will be repeat acts so i think they should have branched out a little and added a few different genres).

But when she got elected I figured it wouldn't be long before this would end.
