I appreciate them every June, July, and half of August when my tax dollars pay their salary for not doing a damn thing.

I have no kids, however a co-worker told me about a flyer her kids school sent home.

List of items to bring to the teachers each day, with each teacher specifying their favorite things. Gifts cards to restaurants, food products for the teachers lounge, flowers, candles, amongst other things.

Pretty ridiculous.

I got a little OJ and a granola bar this morning. I’ll take it.

My kid's school sent the same notification to us also. That's crossing a damn line, IMO. If you get something for your child's teachers, then great. They do a hell of a lot more for our children than most will ever know.

BUT

Don't send home a freaking flyer with your favorite things listed. How are we supposed to teach our kids not to be entitled when their damn teachers are entitled?!
