That been the truth for ages. If they don't have you outnumbered, they don't usually get involved.
I grew up in the Lower 9th and as a teen in the 60's I NEVER saw a black/white fight one on one. If they didn't have 3 or more, they'd leave you alone.
But, that was back in the day when street fights were usually with fists, not like today when guns are drawn and fired for the slightest "dis".
