How is it possible to have FIVE (5) wrecks on the I-10 stretch in ONE (1) morning??? If you find yourself unable to operate a motor vehicle safely, please get your shite together or stay home. The road is not yours to frick up. Our lives are not yours to frick up.

Traffic exists in every major city in the U.S.

Good god, there's even more wrecks when I zoom in on the map. Not updating OP, it's too sad. I count 9 now

I understand congestion. I don't understand wrecks, let alone mass wrecks

True. But for a city Baton Rouge's size, it shouldn't be this bad. And despite study after study after study, nothing has been done to really help fix the problem.

Complains about bad driving while looking at maps, taking a screenshot, uploading to an image host, and posting on TD.

That's the point. Baton Rouge has the traffic of a major city while being a very minor city. A big town really.

Same shite happens in Columbia on I-20/I-26.

Hell I-20 had three wrecks in the space of a quarter mile, all going eastbound in the morning during rush hour.

That was a fun morning commute.

All the studies do is confirm that environmental engineering firms have friends in the government and that removing the Washington St exit is racist.

This is exactly why I'm moving to where I can avoid the interstate and most major roadways to get to work. It's unbelievable how bad it is.

The interstate only having one lane only exists in Baton Rouge.

One thing that doesn't help is that people in Baton Rouge use the interstate for local traffic.

Part of that is because they're idiots, part of that is because Baton Rouge lacks sufficient surface streets to take pressure off the interstate.

There's clearly design and population problems with BR's traffic, but there's another problem that can't be fixed, and it's goddamn moron drivers. Baton Rouge has them in spades. IN SPADES.

I am not driving.

I would like to be driving but will wait for the city to regain control of itself

As long as cars clearly run red lights 3-4 seconds past red and inconsiderate drivers that are too impatient exists, BR roads will always be doomed.

Yeah I've lived here my whole life. Glad to be moving out this year. The only thing I'll miss is easy access to LSU sporting events
