Good thing that he got all those White women buying his rap... Puts him on a new level.

He is right, and I agree with him. But he's also the guy that bragged about banging his cousin.

Lol, all the same posters who "back the blue" and think we should be hard on crime are here knighting for Gates because they like one of his quotes.

Same dude that's been arrested for stealing a car, stabbing someone, and failing to show up in court.

And I like his music, just find the hypocrisy funny

Pretty sure everyone is applauding him for turning his life around.

But you knew that. You just wanted to call everyone bootlickers.

Nah, I'm pretty sure they had no idea, which is par for the course. Immediate reaction without an ounce of research or back story on anything they choose to comment on.

He'll never make it on to the tennis team using that kind of language.

He’s probably sick of the masquerades and people changing up on him.

Kevin Gates is a legit likable guy. He’s very honest in his interviews and calls it how he sees it without caring what others think. Also one of the very few rappers I can think of who is married with a family.

Snoop. He has been married since the late 90s. I saw an interview with him and he said one day 2PAC pulled him aside and told him he would never find a woman as good as the one he has and it was time for him to grow up and don't mess up what is probably the best thing to happen to him.

This is his wife, son and daughter.

There are several rappers that speak the truth.

In 2PACs song 'Only God Can Judge Me' he says

quote:

And they say it's the White man I should fear
But it's my own kind doin' all the killin' here
I can't lie, ain't no love for the other side
Jealousy inside, make 'em wish I died
Oh my Lord, tell me what I'm livin' for
Everybody's droppin', got me knockin' on Heaven's door
And all my memories of seein' brothers bleed
And everybody grieves, but still nobody sees
Recollect your thoughts, don't get caught up in the mix
‘Cause the media is full of dirty tricks

And there is a thread on Reddit with people complaining about these lyrics.

There is a rapper named Tobe Nwigwe who pretty much made raps as a hobby. During the Covid shutdown when the company he worked for shut down for a little while he and his wife made a song together. Its actually pretty good.

He and his wife tell their story in an interview and people went after them. I don't know why, here is some youtube dude who says women were mad because they didn't have the "cookie cutter" relationship.

Youtube

Rappers like Ice Cube, Jay Z.. Dr Dre until he got a divorce (in which his wife said she needed $10M a month from him in order to keep up her lifestyle).

But these older rappers, they used to rap to avoid being out in the streets (they rapped about the streets, some of them were in the streets before rapping), these young fricks today are stupid. They are rapping while still being involved in the streets and they are going after one another.

And this is Kevin Gates original post about BLM.

Public Enemy covered this topic in 1991....

Yeah and they were not the only ones. That's back when artist used to call out the government in general (rock artist used to talk about political issues. Rage Against the Machine was probably the most mainstream to do it). Before both political parties decided to expand their umbrella forcing people to pick a side and once they did, they had to stick to certain agendas.
