Trees are down back there, can’t verify one is on a line. I was mostly assuming

I think it doesn’t matter. Everything tied into that sub regardless
Entergy is one side and demco is the other I think. Even though Demco buys power from Cleco still, it's entergy's transmission lines. I used to work for NRG/Cleco and can't remember the sub name... I think it's off 190 just passed Burgess closer to Walker.

The tree is a bit NE of me, not sure if it would affect me or not.
Rue DeLaplace had power last night, not sure what that would mean.

You talkin Demco or Entergy?

Entergy

Lockhart Road and north, it’s predominantly Demco, south is mostly Entergy to 12 on Range.

As you move towards Eden Church, it’s mostly Demco the further you head down Florida.

The box that encloses Range, Tate, Pete’s Hwy and 12 is mostly Demco.

Nearly everything south of 12 is Demco.

Are you hearing Santa Maria and all the businesses on Highland Road north of, but adjacent to I-10, power issue is related to the Kleinpeter substation?

That is what a neighbor said.. But who knows. It seems there are 3 issues right around us... Kleinpeter Substation with 1000 customers affected .... A snapped pole with transformer on old Perkins at the RR tracks past Bluff, and a snapped pole with transformer in the woods across from Alexander's. Those are the 3 being discussed by neighbors.

It’s a huge switch yard and substation and it’s Demco, and probably the one that feeds me. Currently down.

The only energized substation in LP is the Lockhart Sub on Florida near Juban.

I wish Demco had a better map. I'm off Wax between Juban and 16. No idea what is coming from where or what our holdup is.

Any updates on Stumberg, Hickory Ridge, Jones Creek, Shenandoah areas?

I’m in Kimbleton across from Mason’s Grill. I’d imagine we’re on similar grids. Still no power, but there are some trucks working at the station adjacent to Mason’s.

Fingers crossed we’ll be on soon.

I have no idea if your area has trucks dispatched for repairs, and BilJ did say there was a tree down on a line somewhere in your area.

The tree has been gone for a couple days but there’s a broken pole on the ground at west lakeview and hillview. No crews currently present.

Can you give us the full rundown of Pastureview? We know it’s two separate feeders but not the specifics.

I got an update on the latest Entergy numbers:

- As of 9 AM today, power restored to 167,000 customers
- 25,600 restoration workers for Entergy alone assessing and restoring
- Nearly 950,000 customers lost power, second only to Katrina
- 58% of impacted infrastructure assessed
- As of 1 PM Wed, Distribution damage includes 5,850 poles, 7,090 spans of wire, and 1,400 transformers damaged or destroyed
- On the transmission system 80 of 220 affected substations and 44 of 210 affected transmission lines have returned to service as of 4PM Wed. More than 1,490 miles of transmission lines remain out of service

They haven’t. The only thing they’ve done is cut up a tree. Didn’t even haul it off. Power lines still in road.

Pretty sure the crashed vehicle is still there as well. I don't really know if I'm reading the map correctly, but those lines may be what's keeping Chevelle and most of Tara in the dark. That's several hundred customers including me. A bunch of my neighbors have left town since it is a guessing game of when we will get power back.

Santa Maria is fed from the Pecue Substation.

Disconnected from its main source near 10 and they haven’t been able to close some of the alternate sources from other substations so there must be OH line issues in the Highland, Perkins, Old Perkins, Fairgrounds box:

any info for any IEJT folks. When are we expected to get power back? The downed tree on West Inniswold is taken care of.

Transmission line map looks ugly. Red everywhere in SE Louisiana.

NOLA can’t add more customers onto what they have now due to a failure of transformer in their lone feed into the city.

Miso requirement until they get their own TL back in device. They are currently using a Southern Co source into the city,

Though I haven’t checked myself, my neighbor saw 4 utility trucks repairing the Old Perkins/Bluff Road issue yesterday. When this is all over with, I hope we can learn from the Santa Maria HOA or whoever, from what direction(s) Santa Maria gets it’s power feeds.

By and large Santa Maria has had very reliable power and quick restoration which is one reason I haven’t invested in a whole house generator, and I’ve been a resident from the get go, 1993, but we were out 6 1/2 days during Gustav. I’m going to have to re-think the whole house standby generator. LOL.
