I-12 traffic bound for College still has the ability to travel directly in their right lane to the exit

Actually I-12 has it's own dedicated College Dr exit lane too which joins up with the one from I-10.

Just saying.

But is that worth 200 million or whatever it cost?

Obviously

The alternative is what? Just never make improvements?

Not really directed at you but this website constantly bitches about BR traffic then bitches about the ongoing improvements which have already made a big difference

Thread hijack: Is there a graphic like this that shows what's going on I-10 and Dalrymple?

I was hoping there might be a widening for an eventual east bound entrance ramp from Dairymaple.

52.3 million

Haven’t drove it or seen how it’s configured but if the college dr lanes are still able to merge back into I10 you will just have jacksses running those lanes and trying to merge back in before exiting.

Looks like an exit ramp to Dalrymple across the lake instead of the current exit that loops around. Not sure how this helps anything.

Maybe instead of being a condescending douche, you should try to explain it in layman’s terms. I am not a civil engineer. All I see is a shite ton of construction and money spent and not much results and I’m asking for others’ inputs.

The simplest explanation:

Before: I-12 drivers could hug right lane to exit at College. I-10 drivers had to weave through multiple lanes of traffic to exit at College.

Now: Both I-10 and I-12 drivers can hug right lane to exit at College. No weaving = fewer accidents and more efficient flow of traffic.

It may be one of the best roadway improvements I have seen since I have lived in BR.

There's now an exit right before you get to the split to get off on college.

The same level of improvement could have been made by constructing one overpass lane from 10 over 12 while keeping most of the existing roadway. LA politicians need to fill their pockets though

They’re not done with it yet, tard. They haven’t built the I-12 college drive exit.

They won’t be able to. There will be a jersey barrier between the interstate lanes and the lanes that exited for College drive.

The I-12 exit lane opened this week. Both 10 & 12 exit lanes to College are open. The project still has a few more things left but news said it will be complete in about 3 weeks.
