Looks like even the Constable is leaving Cortana mall.

Geaux or more like run from Baton Rouge!

Then they are opening a place down the street from their main office downtown. Nothing like The City of BR being fiscially careless.

Brown said the new spot in City Hall, which is across the street from the constable’s main office, will help with visibility, accessibility and communication because it is so close to other key players in the community. Broome and Brown opened the office with a ribbon cutting ceremony Thursday.

They have taken the Starbucks business model and put a location next to another location.

Some will play cards and surf the Internet and some across the street in their other location.

Your BR tax dollars at work.

NBR was just so bad even the Constable had to move.

Gary said failure to develop areas north of Florida Blvd was more about oppression than making rational decisions. I guess the mayor is now an oppressor.

Are they just going to park all those camero and challengers in a garage downtown now so no kid can see them and be inspired to not do drugs???

Maybe broom will start driving one

DARE doing work!

quote:

A former Baker Police sergeant was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of stealing nearly $4,000 in “fees” from students in Baker schools’ DARE drug education program, Louisiana State Police said. Former Sgt. Jason Doyle, who was the Baker Police Department’s DARE Officer and School Resource Officer, allegedly told families they needed to pay fees for the program, even though DARE is funded by a federal grant and no fees are necessary.

What's the purpose of a constable?

Usually provide security for the city court, operate the city jail, and serve warrants. They can enforce laws inside their jurisdiction.

I guess Cortana Mall was getting too rough where the our best and brightest we’re not turning themselves in.

Now they need two locations next to each other for our best and brightest to turn themselves in.

The Constable is my favorite. Have you ever seen him in uniform? He looks like some Third World Dictator with a bunch of medals and ribbons on his jacket and a big round hat. But he gives out a ton of turkeys at Thanksgiving for free to NBR and keeps getting elected.

We had DARE in school and I never saw them do anything other than drink coffee and bullshite with coaches. No meetings. No classes. Nothing. One year they handed out a pact for kids to sign but I’m sure it all ended up in the trash. What’s the point of the program?

Wouldn't it be better to have people spread out across the city for visibility and accessibility?
Do their phones and email not work? I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't, but I had to ask the question.

Always follow the money. If we can find out who is supplying the big arse ribbon we’ll find out who’s responsible for the spending.

It's a city function, I wonder what their budget is?

His budget is as much as he wants as long as the tax payers do not find out about it.
