But by golly, you better believe he was tough on those other molesters. He didn't let the abuse he meted out to parishioners in any way, shape, or form affect his strict dealings with the other priests.

Well he died in '82...and the removal of Priests following reported incidents began in the late 80's.
And Sullivan actually has the shortest tenure of a Bishop of the BR Diocese outside of Duca who was appointed in August.

How that degenerate religion has any members left is a testament to the weakness of man

Well if you look at his Facebook, he is out of the closet and in a relationship with a man. I think I remember him from one of the churches mentioned. Always thought he was a little fruity which now makes sense. Wonder if his now boyfriend will leave him or do anything about his past. Doubt it, because I'm sure he'll defend that type of behavior. You know the LBGQ type, they'll defend anything if it deals with homosexuality.

I thought Bishop Sullivan's offenses involved banging married women.
That was his predecessor, Bishop Tracy.
I was confirmed by Sullivan. My sister was baptized by John Weber.

I recognize this is an anonymous message board and guys spout this kind of stuff to appear badass so I take your comments with that in mind. If you actually are interested, the documents from the Dallas accord are readily available online and explain how they’ve addressed these issues. You are correct that no one should condone these actions but marriage doesn’t and won’t fix sexual dysfunction. Look at all the married teachers screwing with students. Sexual dysfunction is a mental health issue nothing more nothing less.

According to "Assignments at time of abuse", none of it happened while he was at Catholic High.

Soon as I opened the list, I immediately looked for his name. The way he was removed from St. Patrick Church, I knew something was up with him. All of a sudden, he was gone.

Most of his accusations occurred while he was in Pierre Part.
I think same for Butch Moran.

I grew up going to St. Aloyisius and 3 of those offenders worked there, 2 of which had abuse reports at that location. fricking sickening. David William Chaloux Bryan Keith Gray Clyde Bernard Landry Landry appears to be a particularly awful piece of shite: Number of Allegations: More than One Assignments at times of abuse: Holy Family, Port Allen, LA; St. George, Baton Rouge, LA; St Aloysius, Baton Rouge, LA; Our Lady of Mount Carmel, St. Francisville, LA Dates of Abuse: Between 1970s-1980s Dates Report Received: 6/30/1988, 2002 and 2004 Action Taken: Resigned from Pastorate 1988 and placed on leave. Left Diocese of Baton Rouge in 1990 to work for the Servants of the 7 Paraclete in Jemez Springs, New Mexico. Formal leave granted and priestly faculties removed in 1999. So they had multiple reports and he still worked in the church for decades. What the frick. Unfortunately he's dead so we can't beat his old body to death in the town square.
Went to St. Aloysius in the 80's James or Jim Funnel, the Seminarian was around then, too. Not surprisingly, I remember he was also on Staff at Boy Scout summer camp. Never got touched. Can't fathom how this cover up shite went on so long so often, without some of them being killed.

Can someone involved in this religion (which comes across as bordering on a cult) explain to me why the church leaders have said repeatedly that releasing these names "was an extremely difficult decision"? Or convince me that most of the molesters are either dead or long gone, and that the abuse has magically ceased?
