God, that's got to be horrific for them.

Now that an African American officer was gunned down, can we just call it terrorism?
Has the racism tag been lifted?
I fricking hate this shite.

It is about time to get some real leadership in this nation...I am about tired of Obama, Hillary, and George Soros promoting and funding this bull shite... I like how Obama's numbers say more blacks and hispanics are killed by cops when almost twice as many whites where killed by cops then blacks and over three times more then hispanics... Innocent people are dying over it and they just want to egg it on....The whole BLM movement is bull crap...If you are going to protest, protest all the way not only when the opposition does it....Bet they dont march and protest for the black officer that was killed....This is a selfish, ignorant, cold hearted world we live in...I am so fed up with hear this equality bull shite, blacks have minority scholarships, for a white man to get hired at most places a black man has to be hired also along with a female, just the fact of people always think somebody owes them is bull shite, get your arse up go to work and make something of yourself and quit relying on others to take care of you....Raise your kids to work, set goals, and obey the law and we would not have this problem....God bless everyone...Stay safe... Prayers to the families and friends of the police officers...It is about time to stand up against this and protect our city and state....
God bless the peaceful protesters also... I dont mind people speaking for what they believe but when it gets out of hand about killing cops it is just to much..For Christ sake protest should be done when an African american is killed by an African american also...

Well that would be a full time job...and we all know these protesters aren't interested in a full time job.

i'm hearing that deputy Nick just passed away.

This was reported yesterday that he had passed, however we now know that to not be true.
Is this a brand new update?

How long before the breaking point is reached and the majority of LE just walk off the job? Couldn't blame them if that happened. Their job is to protect and serve, not fear for their lives. I can't imagine being in their shoes every day.

People on Facebook talking about businesses being on lockdown around Coursey and Airline for a man walking around with gun. Hopefully it's just panic, paranoia. I'm not hearing anything on the scanner.

There is a problem here in that some of the people in the highest positions of power and influence either through naïveté or through malice want this kind of civil unrest. It's pretty disgusting to watch how it is unfolding.

ahh, so now you may shut the frick up. Trying to publicly put the blame on these officers for the 8 officers deaths of recent, seriously? get the frick out of here.
Huh? That's not what he was saying at all. But all of this started with Alton's death, and yes, the officers involved have to feel awful about it.

Can somebody clarify something for me. Yesterday it was being reported that the shooter attended the University of Alabama for a year. I thought I read where that was actually a different person with the same name. I can't find anything specifically retracting that but there's still plenty of articles up saying he attended Bama. So did the shooter go to Bama or not?

Brother went to H.S. with Brad. Ironic he is murdered right by his high school and neighborhood.

I thought the university even put out something about him attending there. They said he was on the Dean's list, quit after a year, and never had any recorded interactions with campus police.

I wouldn't blame the either, but I don't forsee many of them walking away.
My brother is BRPD, he just got off of night shift and was sleeping when this went down (thank God.) He was dressed and on his way back to work before he was even called out.
My point is... These officers aren't going to abandon their co-workers (who they consider brothers/sisters) just because shite is getting bad.

I'll explain it.
You know how survivors of an accident feel guilt afterwards, even though they did nothing to kill anyone else involved in the accident, and aren't responsible at all? It is like that.
He was saying that the officers in the Alton shooting did their job right, but with everything going crazy since then, and with now their own friends being killed, those officers may be second guessing their involvement, even though none of this is their fault.
I honestly would be surprised if that isn't happening to them right now, and I agree with that poster that hopefully other officers are making sure to tell them they don't need to feel guilty about any of this and it's not their fault.
