The DOJ will have something to say about this. This smells like it has anti-trust problems. These two are the largest outdoor recreation retailers in the country. Having them not compete against each other is going to be painful for consumers.

My buddy's tackle box is filled with many of the same lures as mine, except he pays a buck or two more to get them at Bass Pro.

I was driving through Nebraska to Cheyenne Wyoming and passed by the HQ for Cabelas. It was in thr middle of nowhere

Everything is overpriced in Bass Pro, Cabelas, and Academy anyway. You can find anything you need much cheaper online.
