You should read that part Mr. Expert
Are you waiting for to review all of the evidence before giving your 1st OT opinion on the subject?

From what I understand, two officers are given the same "area". When an officer responds to a call, he calls for his second officer when he feels he needs the support.
Do you think having more officers would have made things better? People would be bitching about how it's "overkill" (for lack of a better word).
Yes, Alton was a big man, but I don't blame the officers for thinking they could "take him". And you have to think of the reality of the situation. An encounter can go from "neutral" to "oh shite" in just seconds.

I bet they did. Is one named Gary?
That would probably be a conflict of interest for him.

shel, you are actually being stupid in here. Commenting based on the video is one thing, commenting on the tasering, which there is zero video or testimonial evidence from the cops at the time, is ridiculous

To be fair, they said it was based on the video currently available. But, you're right, most of the ignorant masses will gloss over that and move straight to the intended purpose of the article which is to say the cops are guilty but we just can't prove it.
See the post above yours for a solid reference of this glossing.

I'm so sick of seeing this clowns story before every LSU game. make it stop
Are they showing this on tv before every game?
If so, I'm glad I'm watching them in person. Christ.

They were pressured into giving that statement, I'm sure. The more video you see, the more obvious it is that the cops were right to shoot him

He reached for the gun and he's dead. Seems like it worked fine.
Anytime a life is taken, we should reflect on the tactics employed to see if there was an alternative not realized at the time. That's all I am saying. The killing was justified in the end

Good one.
Why won't you answer the question?
You've been gloating about how you've been right this whole time so let's hear what the proper solution should have been.

Yes, every game and every chance they can to bring it up during the game.
Commentator 1: Leonard rushes for 35 yards on the run up the middle.
Commentator 2: Speaking of 35, did you know Alton Sterling was just 35 years old with 4 children he left behind after being murdered by BRPD.

agree 100%
these officers were pretty lucky TBH. Alton reached for his gun causing one officer to shoot him while another officer was in extremely close proximity. While it worked out, there was a higher risk associated with their actions rather than waiting for back up
I'd rather deal with public outcry about "overkill" than taking a life. Even if the victim is a POS

There's really no reason to take you serious, you freak out every single time, that's a sign of a lack of an ability to be rational during a discussion, so yea, there's that.
I said the same thing as 4 of the 5 experts, I'M SOOOOOOOOOOOO STUPID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I guess you just really know more about policing and have studied it more than those 5 guys, so good for you!!!

Explain, how one can draw any conclusion on the tasering at this point? Even the worlds biggest expert, how can they infer anything about what led to the tasering?
Posted on 9/19/16 at 10:57 am to upgrayedd
Did I read that right? That the police were supposed to safely retreat?
