and it is full of tourists walking around. People everywhere. The line at Cafe Du Monde was a block long. I pulled over and yelled... "New Orleans is a shithole, run, save your lives!!!" Alas, none did. Some were even smiling. God help them. I can't believe they are enjoying themselves while the city is literally worse than Haiti.

Are you saying that for the most part the tourist areas are safe…. Of course venture out of the tourist area, head east and go walk around those areas… I bet you won’t.

Cafe du monde at 11 am is probably one of the safest places in New Orleans one could be.

I mean go walk around in the bad area of any city and see what happens. Hey, I bet you won't go to an area that is known to be dangerous.

You have convinced me, your anecdote seems much more convincing than multiple outlets reporting N.O. is the most dangerous city in America.

The people that say this haven’t been to Haiti - I haven’t either, but I have a close friend that does missionary work and she’s not going back to Haiti ever.
