Bad Bunny had 133 Million who did not change the channel. When folks are eating, drinking, crapping or otherwise at halftime they are not viewing.
And? What point are you trying to make?

The continuous halftime show threads are almost making me miss the vax threads.
Almost.
Almost.

What Idiot thought a separate halftime show would be a great idea versus the real show?
It's the message. Also, if the separate halftime show would have been on ABC, CBS, TNT, etc..... it probably would have hit 20 million or more. Even at 5 million it is 10X that of CNN.

Of course, but there were people actually thinking the NFL would be affected by this other show. It's simply laughable. Some folks are in very deep bubbles

What exactly is the success of the alternative halftime show since it is not a flop? No one seems to be able to answer that. Having the same portion of people that weren't going to watch any way tune into watch kid rock doesn't really spell out some massive cultural win.
I said nothing about its success, but calling it a major flop based on the comparison of its metrics to the fricking super bowl is absolute lunacy.

The right is stuck musically until artists are comfortable attaching themselves to them.
Why does the right need to have music, or the left? There are rappers who support Trump and others like Nicki Minaj, but that music isn’t what I’d consider “right leaning” There are country singers who hate him. I’m just saying, music shouldn’t be right or left.

I think the language barrier ended up being the biggest deal. I think there is a decent probability that non political people or even left leaning people were turned off by it bc they couldn’t understand what was being conveyed.

they were. and the nfl made sure they bent the knee and sucked america's arse so that they didn't further divide their fans in the future... all the while you got jay z hiding in the corner on the epstein list being the creator of the halftime... the nfl made sure they didn't further have any frickups allowing bad bunny to perform and have him do anything of his usual norm.

I never called it a flop but what is the metric here and what constitutes it not being a flop?
It seems to me like it is just another one of those alternative super bowl broadcasts like puppy bowl that makes a few dollars off the super bowl.
People on here are acting like it was some type of cultural movement

What's truly amazing is that halftime of a football game is so important that it is discussed ad nauseum. If you need any further proof that the times we are living in are pretty damned good consider this as a point of reference....something as meaningless as the halftime show of a football game is enough to make about half the population apoplectic because everything else in their lives is so smooth they have nothing bigger pressing that who is singing what. And y'all think they want to shoot their neighbor LOL...ain't no revolution ever took place in a society where for $10 a man will run by Dairy Queen and bring an ice cream cone to your house in the middle of an ice storm. 2 generations ago it was pretty common for a family to bury a baby due to some disease or accident....the most unthinkable thing that can befall a person today. If you ain't convinced America is great now you ain't ever gonna be happy because there is something very very wrong with you....

You were literally here last night in a tizzy because there was another halftime show other than the main one.
No one believes you.

I was in a tizzy over it? I was laughing at it.

I don't think they need to. I was responding to his comment about the right building parallel structures to the default and how music is one parallel they likely can't master.
I personally don't think any music should be left or right.

Fair. In all honesty, I didn't understand one word of Kendrick Lamar's show either. And apparently his show was designed to let the world know he hates Drake. Without understanding Spanish, I did get the imagery last night. Production was on point.

but completely coming apart over a private organization's choice of a musical act is completely ridiculous
For absolutely clear marketing reasons, at that.

5 million would be a massive success considering people had to take action to watch it… not just leave the channel on.
This is a fact....especially considering about 80% of the people who were put out by an American Citizen performing at the Super Bowl still have a land line in their house....they ain't overly technologically savvy....they fall for Facebook AI several times a day and are convinced any number of boogey men are apt to get them any moment.....
