Wait, weren't you defending bad bunny's show last night?
"Defending" is weird framing. I watched both at the same time and gave commentary on both.
Trying to shoehorn the word defending into that requires some partisan brain rot and viewing this as some sort of a weird binary choice.

In what way does having a global pop star perform at a event that is broadcast globally "marginalize" anyone?
First, we're speaking largely in the abstract here
But I think I could construct an argument that a league built on the support of red meat Americans that became one of the most popular/valuable enterprises in the West spending a decade lecturing fans about thin claims of racism and putting games for their teams in places they can't easily travel to and hosting halftime shows in a language they don't understand isn't exactly catering to their interests.
Now, is it different than how any other commercial entities behave? Maybe not. But then, most of us probably feel different connections to sports leagues than Pfizer or Salesforce (or we once did).
I think it's an interesting discussion.

also think the Turning Point response is a bit cringe, although I'm impressed they got such a turnout. I just think people like Kid fricking Rock and douche bro country artists being the face of conservatives is laughably corny and absolutely expected from the left.
It is sad
The sad part is in their zeala tree. They don't realize how bad this looks

Everything is the blue team v the red team now. You can’t have any nuance anymore

We can discuss why that is, but it's a very reasonable cultural conversation to have.
I agree, but that isn't happening on this forum. Just people spazzing.

You keep acting like the turning point half time show was some huge cultural moment and are mad when people point out it is insignificant in the grand scheme of things
The weird extreme defensiveness is definitely the story from last night. The best way this was shown was when they kept improperly using the word melt to describe people laughing at them for their silliness. You could tell it really hit a nerve

They try to run you off by calling you an "ot moderate"... Spooky

The right is all about building parallel structures right now, and that's probably a good call.
But music is obviously an issue. Even film is showing some signs of progress (Angel Studios, etc.). But we're stuck in neutral on the music front if you want anything other than really bad bro country.
This sounds like a market for grift wide open for the taking. You've got me thinking now

The addicts are already addicted
The post Kap/BLM "boycott" showed that.

I guess.
I just don't understand why people literally can't turn off the us vs them mindset for anything in their lives.
I am no bad bunny fan but I literally don't care that he performed as a musical act at a football game. I don't see how something like this has caused a nuclear melt.
I understand when politicians do things we don't like and react to that as such but completely coming apart over a private organization's choice of a musical act is completely ridiculous.

probably the best defense when you’re a Lefty pretending to be Moderate and no one believes it.

The halftime show left this demo a long time ago.
It's so funny to watch them pretend that this just started last night

Bad Bunny had 133 Million who did not change the channel. When folks are eating, drinking, crapping or otherwise at halftime they are not viewing.
Posted on 2/9/26 at 8:48 am to Oreo4689
it's so great seeing so many people who are brave enough to say that they didn't watch the Bad Bunny halftime show
