La has a much larger public beach area:
Art. 450. Public things.
Public things are owned by the state or its political subdivisions in their capacity as public persons.
Public things that belong to the state are such as running waters, the waters and bottoms of natural navigable water bodies, the territorial sea, and the seashore.
Public things that may belong to political subdivisions of the state are such as streets and public squares.
La Civil Code Art. 451. Seashore.
Seashore is the space of land over which the waters of the sea spread in the highest tide during the winter season.

Mexico changed its laws to where no beach can be private.
I don't have a problem with this but someone needs to compensate the people who paid for land with beach included.
I don't doubt that Mexico can just tell landowners to get fricked the beach is public now. Hopefully the US doesn't resort to that level totalitarian.

You can own land you shouldn't own a beach.
So land is not land if it's sandy? Just because other people want to use a portion of land for recreation, a person should not have the right to own their property? Should I have the right to go camping on forest property owned by someone?
Look, if there was always a law that state waters extended "x" amount of feet from the water or something, then it's a valid point. But that law actually exists apparently, always has existed, and is only recently being enforced as tourists are encroaching more and more on public areas.
I have family that lives in that area away from the beach. When we visit, there are plenty of public areas we can drive to with the kids for a beach day. These people just want a more private experience that someone else paid a pretty penny to get.

Don’t the people that buy these beach front houses know that part of the sand at the water is public? They do know this right? Some bum could camp out at the water edge or even have a political flag fly that you don’t agree with.
It’s a golf course fairway house situation to me. Some golf balls are gonna hit your house and break shite or even hit you in the head while you’re in your hot tun. Put up with it or move.

Hope they settle it soon because that attorney is knocking on eternity's door.

He's within his right to be upset about it. But imagine booking a slot on national tv to complain about people that are on your private beach

30A is so gay. My family has a house there and I hardly ever go anymore. My dad’s friend lets us use her condo in Panama City whenever we want and it is way more fun. The beach is a lot better too.

Kinda like you coming on TD to bitch about him wanting his rights enforced?

This is the part that’s so nauseating.

PCB is shite! The beaches may be larger and a better angle for summer sunsets but they are filled with lowlife trash.

And lots of gays. Some huge gay gathering happens there. Don’t know why they picked that town.

They want to say it's private property but its the taxpayers that keep those shorelines and beaches in shape. I would expect at extraordinary cost.
You can't have it both ways.

Baws, if y’all bought oceanfront property with the rights to the shoreline at high tide, and all the sudden a bunch of Karen’s and Ken’s set up in your backyard every day, you would be pissed.
I’d be out there every morning asking ‘you think you can set up n my yard? Tell me why.’

You know what the annual property taxes are on a 20+mm beach front home?

Why the heck would you buy a house on one of the most popular stretches of beach in the world for “privacy?” Nah. He’s fighting for attention and relevancy. Like it would never occur to me that my beachfront house in Florida (if I had one) would have anything other than a flock of beachgoers in front of it. Amen.
It’s a BEACH. You don’t (shouldn’t) get to say who can and who cannot walk on it.
Society had to draw the line somewhere for these self-absorbed wealthy pricks - they just want to rub our noses in their wealth and power with sh*t like this - it’s only a few steps removed from Feudalism IMO.

The “Shoreline Defender” might be bent out of shape on this for owning property not on the beach and wanting access for renters.
Kind of a fraud.
