Others already mentioned the sleepsacks that velcro, those are so much better to work with than the swaddles. I woudl also had look into Hatch sound machines. Helps sooth them to sleep, can crank it up to drown out noises in other rooms, give a little light in the room so you can see.
In you breast feed, once the kid goes from the tap to the bottle, you do the last feeding before bed and the first in the morning and let your wife go to bed early and sleep in. Then your wife wakes up and do the middle of the night feeding (since she has to wake up and pump anyway). You get some solid sleep at night, and your wife has minimal interruption.
If you go the formula route, make sure you have a minimum of 1 month supply in house & ask for samples at every Dr visit. Helped a lot of parents not have to worry when all the shortages were going on. Also, get them used to drinking bottles that are cold, and you won't need to drag the bottle warmer everywhere.
When it's time to start introducing solids, frozen fruits & veggies bags are awesome. Get a machine to create purees and stock up.

Take all the pictures and videos! In a year or two, that will be your only source of memory of the first few months haha

There will be a lull in the sex due to hormones and her needing to heal. But, my wife and I have two kids (4 and 2), and currently our sex life is the best it's ever been.

If you use formula, look into the Baby Brezza. It's like a Keurig for formula. Fill the reservoir with water and dump powered formula into the top, and with the press of a button it will fill anywhere from 2-10 oz. It can do room temp or body temp dispensing.
The Hatch is a great suggestion for a combo night light/sound machine, and it can be controlled from your phone.
The Owlet sock is great for piece of mind at night. It tracks heart rate and O2 levels (or ours does, I know there was some issues with FDA about "medical device") but it made us much less worries about SIDS, and it also helps track sleep on a night to night basis.

My little miracle is due May 10th. God loves my wife and I thank him for it.

It's too late for my advice - wear a condom.

You and the wifes picking up and walking out the door at the spur of the moment is over.

It’s not as miserable as people are saying. I didn’t mind the newborn stage. 2-3.5 was the worst when they could run and try to actively commit suicide. When they turn 4 it’s fun as shite. Enjoy everything and try to take it all in, they’ll be looking for colleges in no time. Everything’s a blur. Savor it

Don't panic. Trust your parental instincts. You'll be fine.
The most important tip:
Enjoy it. In a flash they'll be all grown up.

Start now getting him/her in with a good travel ball program.

If it's a boy, have him circumcised. You don't want girls making fun of him later in life.

Totally depends on the baby. Our first, soon to be 5 this month, was pretty good

I've got a 3 month old. The first 2 months are unbelievably bad.
You haven't even hit the teething stage yet. That is hell.

Congrats…and the only tip I can give you is there are no tips. It’s quite the hands on learning experience and I will add to not listen to other tips because they are equally clueless. Every baby is unique!
