Peanuts for OT ballers, but nice work for the rest of us.

Goldman Sachs reported a $2.8 billion profit for the first quarter Tuesday, topping forecasts. And workers at the investment bank were rewarded handsomely.
Compensation expenses — a number often referred to as the bonus pool, even though it includes salaries and other benefits — rose 25% from a year ago to $4.1 billion. The company has 37,300 employees worldwide.
That means the average compensation for a Goldman worker was more than $110,000 during the three months, up from an average of $96,500 a year ago.

Could it be possible that they receive an annual bonus sometime in the first quarter that puts a lot of weight on that quarter?

This is a worldwide figure. Granted, many Goldman folks live in high-rent areas but they aren't all Lower Manhattan.

Article states that Goldman pays bonuses in Q4.
Also, learn your GAAP.

Do the janitors and support staff get a cut of that? Where does one apply if so

So? Companies hire them because they are often the best at what they do and since they are the best, they get to charge what they charge.
