Maybe she made it out of a metal part from her neighbors walker....you ever think about that?

If you are afraid of a 95-year-old woman with a steak knife and a walker, you have no business being a cop.

That's obviously not accurate.

throwing a handful of gravel on the ground probably would have stopped her

Back when I lived in Atlanta there was an uproar when police shot a 90-something old woman. What the uproarers and media initially failed to mention was that drug dealers were using her as a front for a stash house and they gave her a shotgun and told her to shoot anything that came through the front door. When the police executed a search warrant great grandma went out with her boots on.

As a cop in that situation you not only have to protect yourself but others in the home. If he had shot her, then yeah, that's overboard. But he simply tased her which IMO is reasonable.

Why would shooting her be overboard here? You’re clearly aware of the massively lower level of threat with a 100 year old lady vs a ninja with a knife, so how does taser become the next logical response in this situation? I’m laughing so hard at you including “college graduate” as some major accomplishment, like your mom still tells all her friends every time you walk in the room. Big time pussyhill

I'm trying to figure out how she was using a walker that takes two hands, and waving a steak knife that takes one hand.

Take a towel and toss it over her arm that's wielding the steak knife.

Not possible sir. She has heightened strength and awareness due to being 100 and having dementia. If this were to fail, it would likely enrage her and advance her to the next level of hulk mode- expanding her kill zone

This. Demented people have Retard strength. When 'the mind is gone but the body didn't get the memo' people can be incredibly dangerous.

She was 95 y/o and used a walker.

You've been watching too many Marvel movies.

Right. You can’t try to thread the needle here. If she’s “incredibly dangerous” advancing towards police and bystanders you have two options:
1. Unload your gun into her before she bounce passes that knife off the floor and it ricochets slicing 17 old people who immediately bleed out due to blood thinners.
2. Send us pics of your giant meaty vag’s because this old lady with a walker scares you

Don't care she had a walker, didn't weigh 100 lbs. and she's 95. The knife cuts the same.

Then you're a weak, tiny-dicked bitch. Scared of a 95 year old woman using a walker. Jesus where is your fricking humanity. Just leave the room if you're the cop in that position.

Not one of the cop haters here have ever been faced with someone holding a knife that they needed to disarm. Even a 95 year old with a walker can get in a lucky slash or stab. I don’t know whether this cop was too hasty or not, but you can’t just let a demented person walk around other people waving a knife. The situation has to end quickly and a taser is the safest way to disarm them. Is no one going to ask why a demented person was allowed a steak knife at a nursing home?
