Some conservatives were doing this from 2009-2016 because of Obama. We were told it was disrespectful and wrong.

I like how you Hee Haws are all about respecting the flag but I guarantee you've disrespected it in some way. Whether flying it from the back of your truck, wearing some American flag swim trunks etc. Not to mention most of you probably fly it right along side the Confederate flag which is the dumbest thing ever.

Unlikely. A upside down flag is a sign of distress, which is exactly what we are experiencing now. I have thought about doing that also but figured the majority of people would have no clue if its intent and why I did it and would view it as disrespectful.

Its a method to signal your allies that your platoon, company, brigade, base, etc is under attack or otherwise in distress. It was a way to signal over distance prior to the advent of wireless communications.
