How do you go look at the same animals over and over again?
Is this from the caged animals perspective?

Used to have a family membership. Since they opened the water stuff the zoos been too packed. We only do once a year now and try to stop at zoos or safari parks and conservation centers. A Pinz tour at Global is more fun than a day at the zoo.

Sucks it doesn't work for the very nearby Jefferson Parish residents.

Each of the Audubon Institute attractions, once on a month, on a Wednesday. Get a grip.
Did you miss the part about how anyone with an EBT card can go free, any day of the year, to any one of the locations?

So do you trade your EBT cards for sex or do you trade sex for EBT cards?

We've been doing this nation-wide for some time now.

so tourists will pay money to hang out all day with the poors
They may end up like the Caldwell Zoo in Tyler, Texas. Admission had been free for years, but eventually almost all the zoo visitors on weekends were Mexican families (who were, when my family visited. ver3y polite and well behaved). So, they started charging.

Yeah, Lakeisha and her four kids are making the cross-town, hour long bus trip with a transfer to frick up your Saturday at the zoo.

Anytime something is "free" people will fall all over themselves to go.
Remember when Build a Bear gave away free bears and they had to call the cops out?

Free stuff always brings out the best in people.
Is Audubon trying a bold new experiment where there are animals on both sides of the fences?

They don't need anyone to go to the zoo as long as Ron gets his millage renewed. In fact, it often seems like visitors to any of AI's venues are an afterthought, if not an outright nuisance.
This is all about pandering to those that have a vote but don't pay taxes, and sticking it to us that do pay taxes.

Yet another perk for being a lazy frick to society. Anyone who has a membership should really considering going other places to look at animals or just simply go hang out at Walmart.

Poor people are going to fall over themselves to go to the zoo or aquarium 365 days a year because it’s free?

It’s blatantly obvious you’re a democratic hipster
Why can’t you understand that people who PAY for shite, get frustrated when the same things they pay for are given away for FREE?
Then couple that with the fact that it’s going to people who already mooch and benefit from getting free shite all the time, then yea, people are going to be unhappy

Meh
St.Louis Zoo is one of top zoo's in country, and it's been free for everyone, since 1910.
Just because it's free, doesn't mean inner city dwellers will visit more.
I would worry more about the Hoosiers(White trash) visiting it more often than the Inner City Dwellers.

Nothing proves your point than Mardi Gras. Last time i went (Mobile) i saw elbows thrown, people rolling around on the ground ..piled on each other for....gum, beads, moonpies?

Do you get that this is a zoo, so the target demographic is poor kids of any background that may never get to go to the zoo?
Kids (4th graders) have been getting free passes for their families to get into National Park for years. This program is also primarily aimed at kids of lower income families.
Kids that have access to better quality recreation will be a better neighbor for you in the future. You don't want generations of kids that see nothing but their poor neighborhoods.
